DDoS attacks jump 358% compared to last year

Cloudflare says it mitigated 20.5 million DDoS attacks in the first quarter of 2025. This is a 358% increase compared to the same time last year. Their Q1 2025 DDoS report highlights a rise in the number and size of attacks, including some of the largest ever recorded.

4 Million Affected by VeriSource Data Breach

Employee benefit administrative services provider VeriSource Services is notifying four million individuals that their personal information was stolen in a year-old hack. The incident, the company says, was discovered on February 28, 2024, one day after a threat actor exfiltrated data from its systems.




Cybersecurity vendors are themselves under attack by hackers, SentinelOne says

Cybersecurity companies don’t just defend their customers against cyberattacks — they also have to defend themselves, and a SentinelOne report published Monday examines some of the biggest threats they’re facing. Those include ransomware, Chinese government-sponsored hackers and North Korean IT workers posing as job applicants, according to the report from SentinelOne’s SentinelLabs.




Hacking in Space: Not as Tough as You Might Think
