Royal ransomware group threatens to release sensitive information from City of Dallas

Those employees include police officers who worry that, if it happens, it could make them targets for retaliation. It's the first message from those behind the City of Dallas cyber attack since the initial ransom note received on May 3.




FTC Makes Moves to Enhance Data Privacy Oversight

The Federal Trade Commission on Thursday made a few bold moves to ramp up its oversight of data privacy, including initiating an effort to codify sweeping changes to the Health Breach Notification Rule and releasing a policy statement warning of heightened scrutiny over the use of biometric information.
